The Ultimate Family Townhouse is Royal Caribbean's most expensive cruise ship suite. It's not uncommon to find rates around $80,000 to $100,000 for a family of four. The 1,772-square-foot suite is comprised of three stories and has a private "backyard" that leads directly to Surfside. But of all the activities the new world's largest cruise ship has to offer, my eight favorites are, for the most part, ones I've yet to see on another vessel.

At 1,198 feet long, 20 decks tall, and 250,800 gross tonnage, this is indeed a massive ship. With so much space, I (somewhat surprisingly) never felt that the ship was too crowded, but it should be noted that we were sailing at partial capacity. You might be picking up on the fact that Icon of the Seas has been designed with epic family vacations in mind, which makes it perfect for multigenerational travel groups. The brand-new Surfside neighborhood includes 42 Surfside suites, a new stateroom category catering to young families. Surfside will house children’s play areas, including a signature carousel, family pools, and splash pads for toddlers and babies.
